Jenny Han brings us color

Jenny Han Yellow Zebra Shirt Tunic

Our HUGE store-wide sale will only last a few more weeks, because we've been receiving spring merchandise daily. I'm super excited for the new merchandise, as I think we've done a great job this season tailoring our selection to what we know you're looking for. It's more casual, everyday looks that can be transitioned from day to night easily.
When I saw this yellow tunic from Jenny Han, I was immediately in lovvee! I don't wear a lot of color, but this silhouette and pop of color would be a great addition to my closet for spring and summer. It's so versatile. I could see it being worn with a pair of skinnys for spring or white pants for summer...It would also look great with wide-legs (yes, they are making a huge come back - more on that in the next post). Unfortunately, I only bought four pieces so I'm leaving it to y'all to snatch them up.

Lace

It's not a new trend but has come back strong for spring/summer 2011. The balance of lace is to make it romantic but not over-girly....

Olivia Palermo in lace with no slip - It's romantic without being crazy over the top girlish.

Here are some easier ways to bring lace into your wardrobe...

Military Green

I'm back from my holiday! I spent my vacation in Naples, Florida which wasn't as warm as I had anticipated but I'd choose 60's over the negative sconnie weather any day! When I returned Tuesday, I was thrilled to see new merchandise in the store. When I was perusing the racks, I realized a trend...Military green and zippers were clearly on our mind when we bought for spring. Here are some of the new pieces fitting the trend...

Military Zipper Dress - $88

Loose Knit Sweater w/ Zipper Back - $78

Kensie Print Draped Cardigan - $88

James Cargo Pant - $172 (40% off )

MM Coture Bondage Skirt - $68

Can't wait for spring weather to wear these...

Statement jewelry

David Aubrey - We stumbled on Daivd Aubrey designs at the accessories circuit  and fell in love. There are some amazing statement necklaces and loads of colors in their spring line. I realized when I got back home that the reason I probably loved it so much was I already own some pieces which I bought at anthropologie way back when. The necklaces would be great for spring and summer with simple tops and dresses. Here's a few pieces to give you an idea of what we have coming in...

Thursday, January 13

I've been on hiatus from blogging lately. With a crazy holiday season and getting things in order at the store after the new year, I had little energy to write. But we're back and ready to talk!

I spent the beginning of this week in New York at the accessories show and intermezzo which is a clothing show. I wish I could have brought back more from the accessories show, because the jewelry lines we found were beyond amazing. We bought a lot of statement necklaces with bold colors for spring time as well as some perfect staple earrings. I'll post some of the lines in a little bit... :)
