MIAD Students bring some Christmas into the store...

Two classes at MIAD have been working on a project centered around Five Hearts. They were to design displays that could be used for our store. They did an awesome job and we are so glad to be able to have a few of their designs featured in our store. The pictures don't do the end result any justice...They did a fantastic job. Thanks guys!

We'll call her our snow queen.

These snowball lights are made of styrofoam cups with lights inside!

I'll try to get a better picture tomorrow but our fitting rooms now adorned with an elf, reindeer, and snowman!

Thanks again Libby, Paul, and MIAD students...You did a great job!

Nothin like a little VSA to cheer me up...

I've been out sick with the flu...Yuck! I came in yesterday to find MJ unpacking a ton of virgins, saints and angels which brightened my day...A lot! You guys loved the san benito earrings and necklaces more than we could have ever anticipated...We had around 20 pieces come in which include some new amazing stones and crystals. We also received some beautiful key chains(way better in person)...Perfect for a holiday gift!

We also brought some new pieces into the collection including this guardian angel necklace which I adore very much.

Gotta love me some VSA!

Three Dot Loveeee

I remeber my mom always buying Three Dots when I was in middle school/high school. On occassion she would buy some of their basics for us girls. The brand kind of fell off my radar that is until I accidently stumbled upon them at a buying show. A girl I went to college with and was in all my retail classes works in their showroom in Chicago and she reintroduced the line to MJ and I.  They are seriously the greatest quality for everyday basics. I can't get over how soft they are as well as comfortable. And no to mention the basic long sleeve crew neck shirts never lose their shape or color which is a bonus. They kind of revamped the line a couple years back and have been coming out with great novelty pieces. The dress I might wear for the cocktail party shown in my last post is a great example. The pieces have a bit of an edge to them but still incorporate the comfortable cotton material they use in all the basics. Here are some other fun pieces....

I think the additions to the basic line are so amazing.
They are a little more pricy ranging between $50 -$200 for the more detailed coats and dresses
but so worth it when you know it'll last forever!

Holiday Dresses

Normally, I'm not much of a fan for dresses. I like putting outfits together so I usually opt for skirts and tops or my black skinnys with fun tops until recently. I have a couple pair of tights that keep my leggies warm as could be and I've invested in some great layering pieces which make a dress always an easy choice. My best friends, Emily and Betsy, both had their 25th birthdays this week, so we've planned an only girls cocktail party for this weekend to celebrate. The celebration calls for a little dressier outfit which means I get to pull out one of my dresses, yay! My top choices ...

Thanks to women for MACC!

Last night MJ and I hosted the women for MACC's anual meeting. They enjoyed wine at Kafevino and then headed next door to enjoy some shopping with friends. Women for MACC is a non-profit, charitable organization made up of the mothers, siblings, relatives and concerned individuals of children who continue to battle cancer, or whose lives were tragically cut short by this killer disease. We were so happy to be apart of the night and give what we can to such a great organization! Thanks for making the trip down to the ward ladies!
